I now have several pairs of these in different colors. They are my “go to” shoe for most any occasion.
Jeffrey –
The Amherst 2.0 is a nice shoe and very comfortable. We need more wide options, as these are only available in certain colors.
Josh –
I have the regular Amhersts and love them so was excited to try the 2.0s. Was kind of let down with this weird crease on my inside foot when walking when the shoe flexes. I think I will have to return and get a different color of the regular ones.
Randy –
These look great with everything I wear and are so comfortable.
Jim –
These shoes are very comfortable, I have a wide foot and it’s difficult for me to find shoes that fit correctly like these do. Very nice, they look good with everything,

I bet ought these to have a pair of waterproof knock-around shoes and to play golf in them as well. They feel great and they n an outing in the rain they kept my feet nice and dry.

I got a pair of these in blue 3 weeks ago. They are truly comfortable and stylish. I can wear them to the office. There a weird noise though, when walking the right heel sticks to tile or smooth wood floors, creates a suction effect and loud pop with every step I take. I still really like them but wish I didn’t have the suction noise.

I have been a JM shoe cutter for a few years. I have tried different styles and have been very pleased with all. I was preparing to travel to two countries that I knew would require a lot of walking. I also new that they would be mostly extreme dry conditions. I fly light so I wanted one pair of shoes. I literally wore the Ameherst from the time I boarded the plane in the US until I retuned home. The only time thy came off was for sleeping. I walked about 8-10k steps a day. These shoes held up under some rough conditions. I purchased the gray that were not flashy and could be worn with jeans. I have dressed up and down with these shoes. I have two pair, one is the pair that tracked many miles in three countries. I highly recommend for comfort and fit!

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but they make a loud suction sound when on tile, wood, or any smooth type of floor. On carpet – zero issue. I went to one department store, and it embarrassed me how much they popped (every single step). I may have to stop wearing them, which stinks.

Love the shoes. But they suction cup to the floor. There’s a cup in the bottom and its super annoying. Its worse when its wet…but it still does it when its dry. Total design flaw. They need cut or indented so the air can get out.
Andres –
Amazingly comfortable, love fhe way they look and are perfectly matching with khakis or jeans

Now that I know Abe Lincoln wore the same Brand of shoes, I will have a Better Strut when I walk!

I’ve had different variants of these over the past few years. This model “2.0” is not as good as “1.0” (IMO). The toe box has more reinforcement compared to the 1.0. The 1.0 uppers and toe box feels like nothing is on your foot. That makes it one of my most comfortable good looking causal shoes. This show looks good but the toe box with this new reinforcement is a negative for me. Not an all day show like the previous model was.

Shoes are incredibly comfortable and look great. However, there is a hollow part on the bottom of the shoe that causes the shoes to make a suction noise on tile/wood floors. I would buy several other colors of it weren’t for the noise these make as a result. I’m still going to wear them, but I probably wouldn’t have bought them had I known.

Good looking shoe , but the soles are so soft it makes them uncomfortable. My feet ache in them. Really would not recommend
John –
Beautiful and comfortable shoes with a serious design problem. The sole of the shoes have depressions that act as pretty strong suction cups while walking on smooth surfaces. So, walking through the grocery store sounds like “pop, pop, pop, pop” very loudly. Great if I was attending a clown show.

These shoes are not even close to waterproof. I poured some water on the toe and instantly there was water inside the shoe. Normal non-waterproof shoes usually take a minute or so for the water to soak through. These were instant wet toes.

I bought these for my father. He loves them!

I first got the 10½ wide and it was too narrow — surprisingly, as I have another pair of J&M 10½ wide which are definitely wide. I exchanged them for the 11 wide and they are much wider — maybe a bit too wide, but I wear heavy socks in the cold weather so no problem. I like the style, and, more importantly, my wife likes them.

Great looking and comfortable shoes, but as others have said the suction cup effect is real. It is even more pronounced when I put in arch supports. I don’t mind wearing them around town but if going somewhere where the suction cup noise will be very obvious on very flat flooring (cement, tile) in a quiet setting then I wear other shoes.
Roderick –
These shoes fit great! I saw some reviews complaining about suction sounds but I haven’t had that problem and I have two pairs of these shoes! They feel great on my feet and are like walking on cushions.

I ordered this shoe because Zappos listed it as waterproof. This shoe is definitely NOT waterproof. Do not buy this shoe if you are looking for a waterproof shoe.
