I purchased the black Holden Wingtip shoes. They feel & look awesome. I would have purchased a second pair, however, the tan ones only come with a white sole (a black or brown sole would look so much better).

I bought these several years ago and had them in my closet. I decided I wanted a sneaker/shoe crossover for comfort and casual wear, and ordered a pair of Wolf & Shepherd’s like Gronk wears. Right out of the box I realized they (W&S) were not what I expected… too stiff. So i pulled my Johnston & Murphy Holden Wingtips out of the closet and realized the shoes I wanted were here all the time. Look like shoes, feel like sneakers. Six months later, I wear them almost every day and still love them. I’m only here at the website today to make sure they are still available in case I find it’s time for a new pair!

This pair of "Holden Wingtips" are one of the most comfortable I own! Well-made and very handsome! I polished them to bring out the shine. They worked well with a nice suit and kept me super comfortable during a three-day event. I felt good and pain free. I attribute this to this well-made pair of shoes that I wish I had purchased earlier!

Normally wear an 11.5, so had to reorder size 12. Have had these for almost 4 years, one pair in black and one pair in tan, and worn them almost every day to work. The leather still looks good, the soles are easily cleaned with magic eraser sponges, and they’ve been a pretty durable pair of shoes. The only downside to these types of shoes is you can’t replace the sole. After almost 4 years, the rubber bottoms are starting to get too smooth, causing some slipping on wet floors. I might look into buying anti-slip, white pads if they don’t look too off so I can keep wearing them.
On a smaller scale, these shoes can be a bit loud on linoleum flooring, as they have a “squeak” in them when you walk.
