I ordered a 10-1/2 and I was glad I did. The size is correct for me. The shoes are “stiff” and “hard” for the upper and lower leather materials. I have been wearing them for three days with some thick socks. They are starting to break-in, so I felt I chose wisely. The color is great, and it seems like the soles and heels will last for at least a year. They are good for me. Soft leather from Johnston and Murphy is Sheep-skin.

The size 12 shoes were too loose, unfortunately the size 11 1/2 are too narrow or something, could not fit the foot into the opening of the shoe to try on. Beautiful shoes, so smart, unfortunately cant seem to find the right fit. Will need to return the shoes.

It was pretty tight and did not fit me. I had to return it.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I was impressed with the quality of the leather. They were comfortable but a bit stiff, which is expected of a top grain leather shoe, which will break in after a bit of wearing. However, I was surprised as how LONG the toes are. I usually wear loafers (hand sewn penny loafer style) and, when I put these on, they seemed long. When I compared with my loafers, the toe was actually a full inch longer. I like the look of the shoes, except when I’m wearing them. Zappos is great for letting me return these so easily.
