Right out of the box these were incredibly comfortable and none of the break in process was painful. My only qualm is that the material creases easily and lightens a lot, but it’s quite expected with any leather material.

J&M have done it again. These shoes/boots are a fantastic fit. The leather is so soft yet perfectly supports the foot. I know they are expensive but wow they are great to wear, so comfortable. I am speaking from day one, imagine how it will change as they mold to my feet. The build quality looks great cannot fault them. I guess this is another pair of J&M’s I will own for years to come.

The shoe should have additional clearance because of the mwmory foam base. It was too tight.

I am really disappointed with these boots. I bought these for my husband for Christmas last year, so he has had them for less than a year. I chose them because of the Johnston and Murphy reputation. After 6 months of wearing one heel cover fell off and it had to be replaced. And now, the leather has split from the sole. This should not happen to $180 boots. He has had another brand of boots that have lasted him over a decade, so I don’t think it’s him. I won’t be buying Johnston and Murphy again.

Airline pilot here. The shoes are very comfortable, even after long days of walking from one concourse to the next. I purchased 1 pair which unfortunately broke at the sole within a couple of months, but the superb customer service rushed a replacement pair to my home before I had to leave for my next trip.
